PAPUA (Indonesia), MHI – West Papua National Liberating Army – Free Papua Organization (TPNPB-OPM) again issued its latest statement about the Military Operation conducted by the Indonesian Government in Papua, related to the attack of Posranmil Kisor which caused 4 (four) TNI soldiers to die in Kampung Kisor, South Aifat District, Maybrat Regency, West Papua Province on Thursday (02/09/2021) early last morning.

Regarding the Military Operation conducted by the Government of Indonesia, the TPNPB-OPM also reacted strongly by issuing a firm statement including determining the attitude and warnings and appeals to the Government of Indonesia, (06/09/2021).

This statement was conveyed by the Spokesperson of TPNPB-OPM, through a 02:14 Second Video uploaded on (06/09/2021) Sebby Sambom said, “I Am Sebby Sambom spokesman for TPNPB-OPM, on behalf of our Commander from the Medal Management Headquarters of Komnas DPP OPM issued a firm statement to the Government of Indonesia. Where the Indonesian Government apparatus has conducted a massive Military Operation in South Sorong, in Maybrat, after DPP-OPM forces attacked and killed 4 (four) TNI soldiers. Therefore, we convey firmly to the Government of Indonesia under the Leadership of President Joko Widodo. To immediately stop military operations and we sit at the negotiating table,” he said.

The spokesman continued TPNPB-OPM, “Because the West Papua Liberation War conducted by TPNPB will not stop here. The war will continue until The Free Papua is full and the War will stop,” sebby sambom said.

A TPNPB-OPM spokesman said: “And we received reports from 4 (4), people in the Maybrat region were all displaced in the forests. There are many villages displaced in the forests. Therefore we ask for attention by all parties both Work, Church, Community Leaders, International Community and the United Nations because Indonesia always conducts Military Operations brutally and violently, civil society becomes victims. Arbitrary arrests, killings outside of legal procedures, this is happening… It will happen,” he said.

“Therefore. President Joko Widodo once again reminds you to open up, we are negotiating at the negotiating table to discuss the issue of the status of the political rights of the West Papuan nation under the supervision of the United Nations. Thank you for your concern,” TPNPB-OPM spokesman Sebby Sambom said.

TPNPB-OPM Responsible for Killing of 4 TNI Members

As previously known, the West Papua National Liberation Army Free Papua Organization (TPNPB – OPM) admitted responsibility for the attack of Koramil Post preparations in the village of Kisor South Aifat District of Maybrat Regency, Thursday, September 2, 2021 early morning.

TPNPB-OPM spokesman Sebby Sambom called the attack a form of war against Indonesian security forces.

“The commander of regional command 4 TPNPB-OPM of Sorong Raya region is responsible for the attack and killing of four TNI members in Kisor village,” Sebby said, via voicemail on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

In the 1-minute-long voice recording, Sebby asserted that the Government and tni – polri officers do not pursue and comb community settlement areas.

“We recommend that the TNI-Polri apparatus not conduct sweeps in civil society, but look for us at the headquarters, we are ready even though we are not armed,” Sebby Sambom said.

He also said this attack was a form of warning to the Government of Indonesia under the leadership of President Joko Widodo to immediately open a negotiating room with TPNPB-0PM. “As long as there is no intention to negotiate with us, then TPNPB-OPM will continue to declare war on TNI-POLRI officers throughout Papua,” said Sebby Sambom.
